FAQs
What’s the difference between 14K gold-filled, sterling silver and 14K solid gold?
Gold-filled jewelry has a thick layer of 14K gold (at least 5% of its total weight) bonded to a base metal core. It carries far more gold than plated jewelry, so it holds its color with everyday wear. Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver, the standard for silver jewelry. Solid 14K gold is a 58.3% gold alloy, with no plating or layers, so it won’t wear through and can last a lifetime.
Are your gemstones real?
Yes. Every stone is a genuine, natural gemstone and every pearl is real, never glass or plastic. Natural stones can have small inclusions, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
I’m sending a gift. Will a packing slip be included?
No. Every order arrives in a ready-to-gift jewelry box, and to reduce waste, we don’t include a packing slip, so no prices are shown. If you need a printed packing slip, email us right after placing your order.
How long does shipping take?
Processing time is listed on each product page. After that, USPS Ground Advantage takes up to 5 business days and Priority Mail 1–3 business days (estimates, not guaranteed).
What is your return policy?
You have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return, and buyers are responsible for return shipping. Earrings, personalized or custom pieces, final sale items and gift cards can’t be returned. Read our full return and refund policy, or email us at hello@aloajewelry.com to start a return.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Take your jewelry off before showering, swimming or applying perfume and lotion, and avoid sleeping in it. Store each piece in a cool, dry place, ideally in a small zip bag, to protect its finish.
